What To Eat During Pregnancy?
During pregnancy, what you eat and drink is a major source of nutrients for your baby. Your diet linked to baby’s health that most doctors advise not to take any risks with eating food that may harm the baby such as alcohol.
Whether you are pregnant or not, a healthy diet includes proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and water leakage. If you are eating in the food pyramid system, it shows you the potential to become a healthy individual.
Important for pregnant women to vary their food to get all the nutritional needs of mothers and babies. Food to be eaten during pregnancy are:
* Fruits and vegetables – the target for eating five servings a day, including a snack, juice and salad.
* Starchy foods – bread, rice, pasta, potatoes. Plenty of whole grains (Wheat, whole grain)
* High protein foods – meat, poultry, fish, eggs, legumes (soybeans). Plenty to eat fish at least two times a week.
* High-calcium foods – milk, yoghurt, cheese.
* High-fiber foods – Make vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes as a favorite food because it can prevent constipation.
Drink plenty of water and avoid fatty and sugary foods such as cakes and chocolates as they cause excessive weight gain and risk of developing diabetes (gestational diabetes mellitus).
If you prefer a snack, take Raisin, biscuits, whole grains (Jacob’s or Iko), fruit salad, yoghurt, or any other nutritious foods.
